| The Pink Ribbons Project is our designated charity. They have done many good works. Here is the link to their website: http://www.pinkribbons.org/about.html The Pink Ribbons Project / Dancers in Motion Against Breast Cancer is the first dance organization created to promote awareness about breast cancer and to help raise funding for breast cancer advocacy, education and research. Since our inception, we have raised over $500,000. This money goes to the following outreach programs: The PINK POWER program which purchases mammograms for the medically underserved women in the Houston area. The PINK PREPARATIONS program which educates the young women in Houston about breast health. |
| The Rose is Houston area's preeminent 501(c)(3) non-profit breast health care center providing cancer screening, diagnosis and support to all women regardless of their ability to pay. http://www.the-rose.org/index_2.html This year, more than 32,000 women will receive services at The Rose. Of this number, more than 5,300 will receive needed services at no charge through The Rose Empower Her Sponsorship Program. This program provides breast cancer detection services to those who cannot afford the costs of these potentially life saving procedures. The Rose, a non-profit organization, is not a United Way agency. The Rose depends on revenue from paying customers, grants and donations for its funding. |
